Sissay (Lemn)
Lemn Sissay MBE is a poet, playwright and broadcaster. He has read poetry all over the world and was awarded an MBE for services to literature. He is the Chancellor of The University of Manchester and was the first poet commissioned to write for the London Olympics. He is a regular contributor to radio and TV and a prolific speaker, inspiring audiences on a daily basis across the globe.

Wall-mounted speakers for whole room coverage, wireless microphone system and ability to link to main training room if required. Controlled via in-wall tablet interface with to also automate blinds and lighting (all circuits).
Ability to play music from various sources inc. Spotify, internet radio and local input.

We recently held the Better Health Mcr 2026 AGM at The Nest, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
its a brilliant, contemporary space that perfectly suited our mission of "thinking differently".
The food options were great, keeping our team of nearly 100 energized throughout the afternoon.
he garden and breakout areas were a highlight, providing a refreshing environment for our staff to connect outside of the main sessions.
A huge thank you to the lovely staff at the venue who were incredibly helpful and welcoming.
The Nest provided the ideal backdrop for us to celebrate our achievements and plan for the future. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner for our away day!

I recently attended an event at The Nest in Wythenshawe and what a fabulous venue it is. The design of the building is modern, stylish and thoughtfully laid out, creating a really welcoming and professional atmosphere. The facilities throughout the venue are excellent, with comfortable spaces and everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable event.
Natasha and her team were absolutely lovely — friendly, helpful and incredibly well organised. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made everyone feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The catering was also outstanding. Both lunches were delicious, but the chicken curry on the first day was particularly memorable!
I would highly recommend The Nest as a conference and events venue.
